Choppers Baby!

So I double-booked my class at BYU yesterday. We had our baseball critique (well done guys!), and the images are in the hall. Then, after a rather quick critique, we took the last 90 minutes of class and photographed two custom choppers in the studio for a demo.

I can't remember the builder's name, (but I'll find it and insert it later...), but this guy is a friend of Travis Lovell's. He brought down two of his custom choppers which were both theme based on the Batman movies. He had one bike he calls 'The Riddler', and another called 'Two Face'.

We set up, I talked about why we do what we do when shooting large shiny objects in the studio. I did the 'money shot' of the bike all stretched out, then gave my students the camera and told them to do whatever they wanted. We talked about reflectors, details and most of all ASSISTING. I think that this shoot was faster paced than the normal demos were, so they had to pay attention and keep up. I had a limited time to shoot the two bikes, so I pushed them along at a bit faster clip.

I had one student take my second camera and document the shoot. Here's a bunch from the shoot.

WARNING: LOTS o' IMAGES...not for the bandwidth challenged...
