Owl

I found this owl on the side of the road near my parent's place in Logan last night.

Turned around, and thought I would take it home. Dunno why...just thought it would make an interesting image.

I called the Utah Department of Wildlife Resources, and they sent out a wildlife biologist tonight. He's going to take the Barn Owl to the Bean Museum at BYU to be mounted. I'm kind of excited to see how he turns out!

Someone who saw that image used a 'Silence of the Lambs' reference. I had to chuckle.

I guess I can't edit my posts...seems I deleted it on accident.

Anyway, I think it would make a sweet carbon print...I'll work on a negative.

What size tissue are you guys pouring on Monday?

we're just pouring a size big enough to make 8x10's. are you coming in with your "Big Daddy" mold?

if you're having sweet potatoes today, stay away from the marshmallows!

I can make the frame easy enough, but I have to order the tempered glass to fit it.

I'll see if I can't find anyone to get it made quickly, but to get it cut and tempered usually takes about a week.

I might have to wait for next semester to make any really large carbons...I can't believe that classes are almost over!

I did go out this morning and photographed for about 3 hours. Got a few more keepers I think before I had to return and help with the cookin'.

I hate sweet potatoes...yams too...too sweet.

Dave & Linda didn't have marshmallows on their sweet potatoes. I was sad. Me & Barrett are getting ready to go to Locomotive Springs for a day of Photography & fun.
