Father's Day

What a weekend.

First off, I went to the Bigfoot Symposium and Film Festival in Pocatello, Idaho. I was only able to hang out for a few hours on Friday night, as I was heading to Logan to see my family. I got some books, a sweet t-shirt and took some fun photos.

While looking for the meeting place found some street construction in Old Town Pocatello. They dig up huge round boulders all the time that are left over from the flood. There has got to be at least one image of a large boulder in Pocatello that I can incorporate into my lake project.

Saturday we went to Willow Park in Logan to see my parents singing in their olde-tyme gospel choir. They sung hymns from the 1800's and dressed in period costume. The crowd in the tent was so large that there was standing room only.

We made a fire in the pit in their backyard and had smores that evening.

Sunday was nice and relaxing. Had a beautiful leg of lamb for dinner then I headed out around 5-ish.

Got to Inkom, which is south of Pocatello about 15 miles and wanted to make a photograph there of the flood scars left by the draining Lake Bonneville. Had an hour to kill while the light was getting good, and after setting up the 12x20 I relaxed by taking a short nap and reading my new book. I have started a book written by a friend of mine, Teresa Jordan. I'm reading her memoir of growing up in Wyoming. It's called 'Riding the White Horse Home: A Western Family Album'. Got about 50 pages into it and then got home that night. Got it back open and am almost half-way done. A very nice read.

Anyhoo...set up the camera, made some negatives, made some digital images too with the train going by. Here are some images from the weekend.
