Oh Christmas Tree...

Probably should have put this up before the toilets...oh well.

We got our Christmas Tree on Saturday, got it set up and even got the lights on it by nightfall. Definitely a record. Usually in years past we get the tree up, and I procrastinate putting the lights on...which is my duty since I'm the tallest. Usually Polla and I end up in a bit of a fight because I'm too 'busy' to get the lights on, and she wants to get it done before Christmas is actually over.

This year I decided to just get it over with. I think in years past I've not wanted to fight the lights, then last year I bought this cool extension cord that goes up the trunk and has several plugs along the way. That way I don't have to have all of the lights connected and troubleshoot them endlessly. The 'new' way is mucho-better, so it wasn't much of a fight.

Abigail helped Polla with putting the decorations on the tree. Connor put his Ninja-Oragami skills to the test and knocked out some decorations for the mini-tree that is in the hallway. I had to zip-tie a green stick to the top of the real tree to get the star to stay on. I love zip-ties...they're the duct-tape of the 21st Century in my opinion.
