Fences

Well, now I officially feel like I've turned into my dad.

This weekend my five neighbors and I all put in the posts for our fences. Probably upwards of 150 posts were set on Saturday and *gasp* Sunday (gosh...we ourselves had 18 oxen in the mire Bishop...).

We did use a concrete mixer, but at 80lbs per bag, two bags per hole, the heavy lifting started to add up quick. All of us that set posts this weekend are beat pretty good.

We'll let the concrete set and start finishing the slats when we get back from Jackson Hole. We're heading up tomorrow for a week of relaxation. I think Polla and I deserve it. We both worked hard.

I've been playing with panoramic photography off and on for the past 8 years...I've never found any software for my digital panoramas that really worked for me. But, I recently found this Autopano software that I've really started to like. It does have it's problems with making straight lines work, but that may be my shooting technique rather than the software.

I'm still trying out the free version, so the images are watermarked. I think I'll purchase it though and start making some really big ones. I messed around with a pano I shot in Korea, and at 500mb, it looks pretty nice.

Here are three panos of my north fence, south fence, and front rock wall. It's been a summer of fence building. Oh yeah...and our front grass is also finally starting to come in. I'm pretty happy with how the yard is turning out. Slow...yes. But we're patient.
