Jet Lag

It's 2:30am in Utah...about 4 hours since I went to sleep. I had been up nearly 27 hours, with a few cat-naps thrown in to keep me sane.

The journey home is long, a bit winding (wait...do I hear a song coming on?), but we all eventually made it to SLC without any mishap.

I'm downloading 24GB of images from the iPod, then will download an additional 10GB from flash cards. Then I'll download all of the audio recordings I made of people and events. THEN I'll be able to go back over all of the things that I did and start to process this trip.

It is much different than the trip I made to Ireland 2 years ago. That trip was only 9 days, and I didn't have much of a chance to dig into any really serious material. This trip, nearly 21 days, provided ample opportunity to do some real work. Hopefully it shows when I start editing through the images.

My arrival finds everyone here back home safe and sound, for which I am very thankful.
