White Faced Ibis
Polla spotted this bird on the way to take the kids swimming this afternoon. She was surprized to see it alone and not flying away when she parked her car not more than 20 feet from it. She called and I grabbed the camera and headed down the street. This Ibis was walking around in the nieghbor's driveway and lawn just a few blocks from our place.
I *think* it's a White Faced Ibis, possibly a juvenile. We had a really nasty thunder/lightning/wind/rain storm last night and I'm wondering if this bird was injured in it. I called animal control and left a message. It was gone later in the afternoon...hopefully a dog didn't get it.

Mike, that is a juvenile White-faced Ibis. It's also very nice. I want a print. I'll send you a couple of prints first though. What do you want?
Wow, I'm excited you actually liked the bird shot!
I can send you a print...you send me...um...some beef jerkey or something.
If you want to send a print, send one of me on the sand dunes. I lost all of those images from last summer when my hard drive was dropped. :(
