Conference
Some friends came down from Portland this weekend. They had tickets to the Saturday night session of LDS General Conference. So Connor, his friend Wyatt, Wyatt's dad Kim and I all went downtown to check it out.

I like the new aluminum roof of the Tabernacle.

We saw some 'religious protestors', one was even dressed up like the Devil. Lonnie Pursifull, a Wilderness Bible Baptist from Duschene has been preaching at conference for 14 years (Deseret News, 10-7-07). He holds a sign equating Mormons with all kinds of other interesting folk.

I saw one of my students photographing Conference for the Ensign. He helped me smuggle in my large-ish camera so I could take a pano of the inside of the building.

I'd reveal which student it is, but I don't want to get him and/or her in trouble with the Mormon Mafia.
