Bonneville

My son Connor and I went out to Wendover, last night to meet an old friend from Portland, Ed Sanman. Ed had been on a two-week road trip out to see as many interesting car events as he could. He came to Wendover to attend Speed Week at the world famous Bonneville Salt Flats.

We slept in his very cute Airstream Bambi (crap, no photos...bummer...), and headed out early to get the first light.

I shot some neat panos and a couple of singles, and let Connor do some shooting. He concentrated on the 'World's Fastest Ferrari', which ironically, has a Chevy V8 engine in it.

Here are some shots of the cars and our set-up as we spectated.

Came home today sunburned and tired. A fun few days.

Fun! The guy that I get Porsche parts for my 356B was there. He's from Oregon too. Did you see anybody from Emory Motorsports?

I didn't see anyone from Emory Motorsports. I did see a Ford Falcon that went 240+.
