Seven years. Wow. Seems like yesterday. Don't ever forget.





I shot these images on October 10, 2000.
I was in New York for the Eddie Adams Workshop and rented a helicopter for about an hour and a half to fly and photograph over New York. I get nostalgic and want to look at them every now and then.
I miss the World Trade Center.

In honor of 9/11, I watched Spike Lee's "25th Hour" last night. The movie has nothing to do with it, but Spike goes to great lengths to include that motif in the movie with shots of the skyline, the cleanup, etc. The movie was filmed in 2002 so it really shows.
There are oodles and oodles of pictures of NYC from all angles, but I can see that those you took yourself are very meaningful. And from a helicopter, how cool was that!
